At Cerna, we keep an eye out for informative community events like the upcoming Medicare seminar, “Roadmap to Medicare.” Medicare is a national social insurance program that guarantees access to health insurance for Americans aged 65 and older who have worked and paid into the system.
The confusion caused by Medicare reform and the evolving insurance industry comes at a time when more Americans are expected to be enrolling. When people turn 65, they’re not entitled to Social Security and many of them are continuing to work, which leaves them wondering, “How does Medicare fit in?”
Even people that think they are knowledgeable about Medicare should attend. People who say they understood at least the majority of Medicare are unable to identify their Medicare path or coverage types.
This Medicare seminar, conducted in Spanish, is for individuals coming up to Medicare, already on Medicare or for family members of Medicare beneficiaries.
Topics include:
• What Medicare Covers
• Supplemental Insurance
• Medicare Private Health Plans
• Part D Prescription Coverage
• Medicare and Employer Group Health Plans
• Medicare and Retiree Health Plans
Critical decisions need to be made about your healthcare direction and there are some Medicare road signs to carefully note.
