Cerna Home Care caregivers are not wired to seek recognition. Caring for others is a calling. However, it does not negate the actions of Cerna Home Care individuals who do great things for others every day. In that spirit, Cerna Home Care has developed an Excellence in Service Awards program.
Excellence in Service Awards
The program’s purpose is a simple one – to call-out, no matter how humble the person, a Cerna employee’s dedication to excellence.
Cerna is comprised of remarkable people. Behind the scenes there are, of course, professional office personnel and a managerial team. Caring for one individual is a concerted effort of dozens of Cerna support staff.
However, the unsung heroes – the forgotten heroes, are caregivers. Caring for the elderly and sick requires a special set of skills. Cerna caregivers know our elders should have the care and attention they deserve, and they know their knowledge and values are assets to the community.
Cerna caregivers achieve a fine balance of professionalism, problem-solving, compassion, humor and love. This balance of high-quality care combined with emotional resilience is a constant. For this, Cerna is committed to making sure those Cerna caregivers who have displayed excellent service are not forgotten.

Cerna’s Excellence in Service Awards recognizes caregivers who go above and beyond to substantially enhance the quality of life for care recipients.
