Cerna Volunteers for AFSC’s “Gathering of Friends”

This is Catalina’s second year volunteering for the Alzheimer’s Family Services Center‘s (AFSC) “Gathering of Friends” event.  Catalina Elwell is Cerna Orange County’s Care Coordinator and she is all about helping out a worthy cause. The 15th annual event is presented by the Alzheimer’s Family Services Center, a non-profit organization created to improve quality of life for families challenged by Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias.

For 35 years, the Alzheimer’s Family Services Center has playing a key role in Orange County’s continuum of long term careservices by providing affordable access to high quality, culturally appropriate dementia care and supportive services.
Producing an event for 300 people takes a village. While the event is designed to be a wonderful evening for guests, it does have a fundamental purpose, to raise funds and awareness. Catalina was on hand to help collate event packets and stuff envelopes with direct mail pieces to promote “Gathering of Friends.”
